What got me Started?
Pyrography or better known as Woodburning, started for me by accident.
No, literally an accident is what got me started. I drove truck for a company for 18 years and thought that this was all I was going to do for the rest of my life. I had a home, family, friends, a secure job, and a dream car that I got to tinker with in the garage as a hobby. Life was good, that is until I got hurt on the job that left me with a one pound restriction disability of my dominate arm for the rest of my life. Needless to say, I do a lot of functions in slow motion now trying my best to learn new ways to do everyday activities.
Long story short, I went through a tough time with every aspect of my life changing, and I was headset on the negative. Doctor told me I needed a hobby that was minimal movement that would involve my mind creating a happy place that I could get lost in. I had tried woodburning with a cheap $15 set from local wood store and after showing my family what I could do with woodburning, I was told to go buy a really good set and get lost with my imagination.
